“One of the greatest forms of freedom comes from knowing what is important to you. It grants you the freedom to ignore everything else.” – James Clear
When you say yes to someone you have signed a verbal contract to give your time to him or her later on. Saying no is a form of time credit. You are credited the ability to choose your future and how you commit your time.
“No is a decision. Yes is a responsibility.” – James Clear
Your responsibility is to know what is important enough to you to say yes to. Possibly a more important skill to navigate is saying no to those times when spending your precious moments on this endeavour would not serve your purpose.

Wherever you land is the foundation you can build all other things on top of. Saying no to the things that do not aid you moving towards this point should start to make more and more sense.
